1. Applicants must complete a one-on-one meeting and orientation with the Agency Social Worker.
  2. Attend Pre-Approved training, approximately 21 hours, to learn how to meet the needs of children entering the foster care system, to learn how to develop a positive relationship with the biological family and to understand different levels of behavior and trauma that the children bring to the table.
  3. Applicants must be certified in CPR/First Aid and Water Safety training.
  4. Complete 8 hour training hours a year.
