Intensive Service Foster Parents
Intensive Service Foster Care (ISFC)
ISFC – These children require additional help and support to overcome the consequences of past trauma and loss.
ISFC children need trauma informed parent(s) who can provide consistency, safety, empathy, and understanding. If you have experience working with children, and recognize that you have the ability to parent a child with special behavioral or medical needs, El Shaddai is looking for you.
If you do not have experience, resource parents can obtain required experience by accepting a traditional foster care placement into your home while you are working towards your ISFC certification.
ISFC parent(s) are provided trauma informed trainings and continued education to assist in the preparation of care for these children and continued learning to enhance your abilities over time.
All ISFC parents and children will be provided with an agency case-worker and a trained staff person to provide in-home therapeutic care hours vary depending individual needs of the child.
Children will be connected with behavioral health specialists to assist in the healing process, counseling services and in some cases, medication management.
